THE PROJECT
Ammanford Area
Purchase an all-electric MPV (eNV 200 Nissan) MPV that has 7-seats including space for a wheelchair. Fully sign written with WG, CTA and our logos placed in prominent locations on the vehicle.
Work in partnership with Family Housing at their independent living complex at Ty Dyffryn Ammanford. Family Housing have agreed to place the vehicle at the complex and work with us to develop its usage. They will host the charging infrastructure and provide free electric and a reserved parking space.
The vehicle will have a mixed use including fully accessible wheelchair use which will include volunteer driven to direct to services such as health appointments, shopping and leisure. Small scale volunteer driven group transport to services, activities, and leisure. Work with a broad range of already established partners that are from both the statutory and voluntary sectors. The main and most important partnership will be the community and its users so that we can ensure a ground up approach to the development of a service that meets their needs. We have well established links in the area with support groups and intend to create small informal steering group.

Llandysul Area
Purchase 6 cross gender, restricted speed EV bikes, helmets, etc. We will form a partnership with Calon Tysul a community run Leisure centre and the Paddlers Canoe Centre a community run canoe activity centre. Included in the pilot will be statutory partners such as the Health Board and representatives from the two County Councils that serve the area. The EV bike pilot will help link the bottom of the village with the top of the village. Both locations are separated by a large incline. The local Health Practice has expressed an interest in working with Calon Tysul and us by directing patients that have health related issues to the pilot. Especially people that exercise helps with rehabilitation after surgery Injury or when light assisted exercise could help people lose weight etc. Ceredigion tourism officer is interested in local travel opportunities in the area and how the provision of bikes may help. Fully sign written with WG CTA and our logos placed in prominent locations on bikes.
